The Post Production course will take you through all the roles and tasks within the department. You will be taught by industry professionals who will guide you through the process of taking raw footage and crafting it into finished sequences fit for transmission.

You will also learn about the technology and terminology used for each of the processes and the supporting roles that are essential in a Post Production environment.

This course offers participants a hands-on introduction to the creative teams and practical processes behind the look and feel of Hollyoaks.

Over the three days the industry-led course will give you behind-the-scenes insight into how production design, art direction, props, set dressing, construction, graphics and scenic work help bring scripted drama to life.

Participants will explore key art department roles and responsibilities, develop practical skills through visual development, script breakdown and shoot preparation, and put their learning into practice during a simulated shoot day.

This three-day course introduces the essential systems and responsibilities involved in tracking costs — from budgets, purchase orders and VAT to cost reports and crew payroll.

Using realistic production scenarios, participants will see how financial decisions connect with scripts, schedules and individual departments. The course combines practical activities, group discussions, a set tour and sessions with industry colleagues.

Day 1: Production structures, budgets, spending controls, cost reports and VAT

Day 2: Everyday accounting processes, crew payroll and tax arrangements

Day 3: Real production scenarios exploring the cost impact of locations, stunts and schedule changes
